Foxworth, MS
On the third weekend in June and the fourth weekend in October, way off the beaten path in the rolling hills near Foxworth, Ms you'll find the Hickory Hill Bluegrass Festival. This festival has been a long time dream of Mr. Robert Leslie Stringer.
Mr. Les and his family put on one of the best small venue festivals around. Their southern hospitality is unequaled. Everyone is made to feel welcome and a part of the event.
Hickory Hill boast some of the best in local talent with the occasional appearance of a big name band. Jim and Jesse, Randall Hylton, and Sand Mountain have all played there.
The facilities are first rate with modern camper hook ups and a clean well kept shower house.
One of their hallmarks for me is their concession stand. Not only do they offer hamburgers, hot dogs and the regular fare, but also has some of the best fried catfish and southern barbecue anywhere.
Hickory Hill is a "don't miss" festival for me. I highly recommend it.
The Hickory Hill Festival is et in the beautiful rolling Mississippi Countryside |
Campers parked all neatly in a row |

The stage is set at the foot of a gently sloping hill. Its kind of like a natural theater |
Once the show begins, Mr. Les doesn't like for the music to stop! |
